  • Suicide and Crisis Lifeline

    The Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24/7.

    You will be connected to trained counselors. These trained counselors will listen, understand how your problems are affecting you, provide support, and connect you to resources if necessary.

  • National Domestic Violence Hotline

    The National Domestic Violence Hotline provides essential tools and 24/7 support to help survivors of domestic violence, so they can live their lives free of abuse.

    Contacts to The Hotline can expect highly-trained, expert advocates to offer free, confidential, and compassionate support, crisis intervention information, education, and referral services in over 200 languages.

  • Substance Abuse & Mental Health Helpline

    SAMHSA’s National Helpline is a free, confidential, 24/7, 365-day-a-year treatment referral and information service (in English and Spanish) for individuals and families facing mental and/or substance use disorders.

  • Atrium Health

    Atrium Health has a crisis intervention help line, staffed by masters-level mental health professionals and registered nurses available 24/7. The team answering the phone can also make referrals to behavioral health specialists and offer information on community behavioral health resources.

    Atrium Health also has the only free-standing, dedicated psychiatric emergency room in the Charlotte, NC region. This ER is for children, adolescents and adults experiencing a mental health crisis and is located at Atrium Health Behavioral Health, 501 Billingsley Road, Charlotte, NC 28211.

  • Pheonix Counseling Center

    Pheonix Counseling Center has a crisis line is available 24/7. The Phoenix staff is trained to deal with crisis situations ranging from acute psychiatric symptoms to dangerous behaviors resulting from drug or alcohol use. If you’re unable to get to our locations, we’ll bring the help to you with our Mobile Crisis services, which are available at no out-of-pocket expense to you.

    To reach their crisis line, you can call. To visit in person 24/7 at one of their Crisis and Recovery Centers, you can head to Gastonia or Shelby, NC.

  • National Eating Disorders Helpline

    Contact the NEDA Helpline for support, resources, and treatment options for yourself or a loved one who is struggling with an eating disorder. Helpline volunteers are trained to help you find the support and information you need. They also offer a screening tool.
