Couples Counseling Assessment in Denver
What is Prepare/Enrich?
Whether you are a newly paired love bird, preparing for marriage, or in a long-term committed relationship, the Prepare/Enrich assessment and skills can help to strengthen and enrich your relationship. It tests for several things, including personality traits, but most importantly, it identifies your strengths and areas of improvement as a couple. It also offer a Spanish translation.
How Does Prepare/Enrich Work?
Taking the assessment is easy. Our couples counselors at Equalize Counseling & Consulting are trained facilitators for Prepare/Enrich and will provide information on the assessment and the process in your first session. Then, we will send you each a link to your email addresses where you can complete the assessment. You will answer some basic demographic information in addition to a series of questions for a variety of categories, including communication, conflict resolution, role responsibilities, sex, and more. Your therapist will also select if there are relevant sections of the assessment that would be good for you such as parenting or spiritual integrations. The assessment is done separately, but once you have both completed it, studies have shown that relationship satisfaction can increase simply from discussing your thoughts about the assessment. At the next appointment, your therapist can review your results to show your strengths and areas of improvement as a couple. From there, we focus on strengthening any weak areas using couples counseling skills in addition to bringing in skills from our other approaches such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, & Christian Counseling.
