Counseling in Denver, NC
You are carrying a lot right now, and it feels exhausting trying to navigate it all on your own. Maybe anxiety keeps you second-guessing yourself, depression has left you feeling stuck, or grief has made it difficult to move forward. You may struggle with setting healthy boundaries, feeling confident in yourself, or knowing how to handle the challenges life keeps placing in your path. Perhaps you're facing a major life transition, navigating relationship struggles, preparing for marriage, adjusting to pregnancy or motherhood, or simply trying to make sense of where you are and where you're headed. More than anything, you want a place where you can feel safe, understood, and supported without judgment. You want someone who will listen to your story, help you recognize your strengths, and walk alongside you as you work toward healing and growth. Whether you're a child, teen, adult, couple, or older adult facing life's challenges, I would be honored to help you!
My name is Morgan Rhodes, and I became a therapist because I genuinely love hearing people’s stories. I know how difficult it can be to be vulnerable and allow someone into the deeper parts of your life, and I believe there is so much courage and strength in that process. One of the most meaningful parts of my work is witnessing the resilience people carry, even in seasons of pain or uncertainty. I believe healing often begins when someone feels safe, seen, heard, and encouraged.
I love the opportunity to work with couples to help strengthen communication, deepen connection, and build healthy relationships. I also have a special interest in working with older adults as they navigate life transitions, questions of meaning, and the changes that can come with aging. Additionally, I am especially interested in supporting women through pregnancy and perinatal experiences, offering a space that feels steady, understanding, and supportive.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (#A22954) in North Carolina. I have a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor's degree in Educational Psychology. In my clinical work, I have experience supporting individuals, couples, children, and families navigating concerns such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, boundaries, life stage transitions, grief, suicidal thoughts, and traumatic experiences.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and relational. While I primarily work from a relational perspective, I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and other evidence-based approaches to best support each client’s unique needs. I am also certified in Prepare/Enrich premarital counseling and enjoy incorporating activity-based interventions when helpful, as they can reduce pressure and create more natural opportunities for expression and connection. For clients who desire it, I also offer faith-based counseling that thoughtfully integrates spiritual beliefs into the therapeutic process. I strive to create a space that feels compassionate, supportive, and safe for clients to process their experiences openly.
